Base plates have a 15mm starter hole. Trace the size and the shape of the stoma on to the stoma guide(on the transparent protective backing). Cut the hole to fit the size and the shape of the stoma. Cutting is easier if you use a curved pair of scissors. Ensure that the skin is clean and dry before you proceed to apply bag or base plate. Remove the transparent protective backing. Place the adhesive on the skin, ensuring a snug fit around the stoma. Press firmly against the skin starting at the bottom and smoothing upwards with the fingers.
